‘Very surprised’, ‘Sell him’, some Arsenal fans react to exit talk over 25-year-old: report

Some Arsenal fans have provided a mixed reaction to reports linking Hector Bellerin with a possible move to the Serie A with Inter Milan.

The right-back has struggled with injuries over the past one-and-a-half years and because of that, he has been unable to command a regular run of games with the north London side.

Still, he remains highly-rated by most Gunners fans but FC Inter News has recently claimed that the Nerazzurri could make a formal approach to secure his services in the next transfer window.

Aside from the Italian club, Sevilla and Atletico Madrid have also been credited with an interest in the 25-year-old and this has produced a mixed reaction among the Gunners supporters on Twitter.

While some fans believe that Bellerin should head through the exit door, the others feel that the Spaniard won’t be going anywhere and could be a future captain of the club.

Twitter Reactions:

Bellerin and Cedric Soares (on loan from Southampton) are currently the specialist right-backs at the manager’s disposal but the likes of Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Calum Chambers (out injured for the long-term) have also featured in the defensive position.

Soares arrived from the Saints carrying a knee injury and his prospects of a permanent contract may depend on his performances when the season resumes after the suspension due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Bellerin, meanwhile, has been in-and-out of the starting XI this year and prior to the coronavirus shutdown, a torn groin issue is understood to have hampered his crossing into the box.

Still, he has more than three years remaining on his existing deal with the north London side and the board would surely give him another season to prove that he can revive the form from a few years ago.
