Arsenal release statement on Alex Lacazette ‘laughing gas’ photos
Arsenal have confirmed that photos of Alexandre Lacazette inhaling ‘laughing gas’ will be taken ‘seriously’.
The French striker was warned 18 months ago after photos showed Lacazette and other Arsenal stars including Mesut Ozil inhaling gas at a party before the start of the 2018/19 season.
In recent weeks the 28-year-old has also been reminded of his responsibilities after he was pictured flouting lockdown guidelines by not social distancing while having his car valeted on his driveway in North London.
A statement released by the club said: “This is a private matter which we are taking seriously. It will be handled internally.”
Lacazette has had an indifferent campaign at Arsenal this season, with youngster Eddie Nketiah impressing ahead of him before games were suspended in March.
