Arsenal ‘in talks’ with highly-rated Ligue 1 midfielder

Arsenal are one of several teams across Europe who are in talks with Marseille midfielder Morgan Sanson, according to reports in France.

The 25-year-old is expected to be sold this summer with the French giants having to balance their books due to Financial Fair Play constraints.

Sanson has reportedly switched his representation to ‘super agent’ Pini Zahavi who is already touting him round the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and Everton.

The Frenchman has notched five goals and five assists in 27 league games for Marseille this season, boasting an 85.9% pass completion rate and averaging 1.1 key passes per game.

Gunners head coach Mikel Arteta will be looking to strengthen his central midfield this summer with doubts over the future of Lucas Torreira and Dani Ceballos set to return to Real Madrid after his loan spell.
