Hector Bellerin set to release documentary this summer
|Hector Bellerin will release an exclusive documentary about his life this summer.
The Arsenal defender underwent surgery for a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament last year and missed large chunks of the 2018/19 season due to injury.
However, Bellerin turned his setback into a positive by posting vlogs of his recovery process including the emotional and physical toll a long-term injury can take on a professional athlete.
‘Hector Bellerin: The Unseen Journey’ will be released on the 25-year-old’s YouTube channel this summer and it will document the life of Hector from the moment he was injured against Chelsea through to his comeback.
25-year-old Bellerin, who has become renowned for his unique persona and passion for key societal issues, recently spoke to Forbes about embracing his off-field interests and why he refuses to be ‘put in a box’ over his identity.
“Whether I am on the pitch or doing another project, I always give 100%. I pride myself on that,” he said.
“In training, recovery, getting over injuries, my diet, I always give 100%. So by having the other things I am interested in, I think gives me a reset, allows me to take my mind off it, recharge and come back even better.”
