Arsenal ‘ready to take financial hit’ in order to sign Thomas Partey
|Arsenal are prepared to do whatever it takes to complete the signing of Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey once the summer transfer window opens later this year.
The 26-year-old has been in fine form for the Spanish club this season, making a total 35 appearances in all competitions. He is currently one of the most sought after midfielders in Europe today.
According to ESPN, while a potential transfer could cost the Gunners up to €50 million, they would be prepared to take the hit to sign him. It’s believed they could pay this sum in full or in instalments.
While the transfer saga continues to escalate each week, Partey is one of Arsenal’s main targets in the transfer market. It’s reported that despite the large finances involved, the club is aware of what the Ghanaian midfielder could bring to the club.
However, the club have a lot of convincing to do before a final decision is made by the 26-year-old midfielder. Sports journalist Fabrizio Romano claims Partey is yet to make up his mind on his future and could remain an Atletico Madrid player next season.
While a final decision is yet to be made, the transfer saga continues to escalate with each passing week. It’s believed this transfer will be difficult for Arsenal to complete but they still have more than enough time to get it over the line.
Partey would be the energy needed for arteta to have a single man full DM and throw in a double attacking midfield….just like he tried out against Chalton,,,with granit back and ceballos and Willock upfront…
