Mikel Arteta’s side went into the break with a 1-0 lead thanks to a goal by Joe Willock. The Bees hit back in the second half with goals from Tariqe Fosu, Halil Dervişoğlu and Shandon Baptiste. Alexander Lacazette got on the scoresheet for Arsenal in the second half to make it two goals in two friendlies.
It is a positive sign to see Lacazette on the scoresheet because he has endured a frustrating season. With neither Lacazette nor Pepe in form for much of the campaign, Arsenal have relied on Pierre Emerick Aubameyang for goals and while the skipper has delivered the goods, the lack of goals from alternate sources has definitely contributed to our mediocre season.
Here’s hoping Alexander Lacazette finds form for the remaining games of the season. It will have a big impact on where Arsenal finish in the Premier League table.
