Atletico Madrid offer Partey a new deal that would ‘triple’ his current wages
|According to AS, Thomas Partey has a contract offer on the table from Atletico Madrid that would see him triple his current wages. Partey has so far not made a decision on whether or not to sign the new deal.
Arsenal and Manchester United are very interested in securing the Ghanian central midfielder’s signature. Bayern Munich, Juvenus and Paris Saint-Germain are keeping tabs on the player’s situation. Currently, Partey has a £45 million buyout clause.
There has been a lot of speculation regarding Partey’s future over the last few months with the player’s father and some teammates commenting on his next step. AS previously reported that Arsenal were the club that had shown the most concrete interest in the Ghanian.
Atletico Madrid would like to retain the player’s services and are hopeful that he will sign a new deal. If, however, Partey were to depart in the summer, the club is confident that Marcos Llorente would be able to fill the hole that would be left in the team.
Thomas Partey is currently preparing for Atletico Madrid’s first game back in La Liga against Athletic Bilbao which is scheduled to take place on June 14th.
