Arsenal showing interest in Bristol City midfielder Han-Noah Massengo
|Arsenal have extensively scouted ex-Monaco midfielder Han-Noah Massengo and are showing an interest in signing the Bristol City starlet, according to HITC and the Daily Mail.
Han-Noah Massengo became the first player born in the 21st century to play in the Champions League when he was given his European debut by ex-Monaco boss Thierry Henry. Since then, the 18 year old midfielder has traded Monaco for Bristol City and has had a positive debut season for the Robins. Bristol City signed him for north of £7 million in August 2019 to replace outgoing captain Marlon Pack who ended up moving to Cardiff City on deadline day. He has made a total of 25 appearances for the Championship side.
Massengo is good at breaking up play and is composed in possession. The midfielder is very ambitious and has cited Neymar and Kylian Mbappe as the two best opponents he has faced so far in his fledgling career.
In May, Massengo told Bristol City’s official website:
“I think the best opponent I have played was Kylian Mbappe. He started at Monaco as did I. I started in the Academy when he was starting out and I watched every game he played. He was a dream. Probably him or Neymar are the best players I have played against.”
“This guy is crazy good. He does everything so quickly and I think if I want to be the best, to improve I need to use these players as my inspiration. They always want to be the best and do the best they can.”
The young midfielder has made six appearances for France’s Under 19 team. According to reports, Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund are also showing an interest in the player.
