Arsenal target Adil Aouchiche to leave PSG on a free transfer

Adil Aouchiche has decided to leave Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer this summer according to Julien Maynard of TF1.

The French club will do everything in their power to change the 17-year-old’s mind but it looks like they have their work cut out for them.

According to Maynard, the youngster is keen on getting more game time which he does not believe is likely if he stays with the French champions.

Aouchiche is reportedly being courted by Arsenal, Saint Etienne, Rennes, Lille and Leicester. He joined PSG’s academy in 2014 and made his debut for the club in 2019 in a 2-0 win over Metz. He became the second youngest goalscorer in PSG’s history when he scored in a 6-0 cup win against Linas-Montlhéry.

The 17 year old played for France in the 2019 UEFA European Under-17 Championship. He became the focus of national attention because he scored nine goals in five games as France reached the semi-final of the tournament. He ended as the top scorer of the competition and was included in the team of the tournament.

It has been reported that Aouchiche has already undergone a medical with Saint Etienne ahead of a move to Les Verts. It is, however, believed that the player and his entourage were given a tour of the club’s facilities but that a medical did not take place.

The Gunners signed Matteo Guendouzi, a former PSG youth product, from Lorient in the summer of 2018. WIll they repeat the trick and convince Aouchiche to sign on the dotted line? Only time will tell.
