Arsenal interested in signing Brentford winger Saïd Benrahma
|Arsenal are one of three clubs interested in Algerian winger Saïd Benrahma, according to Mohamed Bouhafsi of RMC Sport.
Chelsea and Leicester are the other two clubs who are credited with an interest in the player. It is reported that Chelsea have begun discussions with Benrahma’s entourage. They have expressed an interest in the player but are yet to put in an official bid.
The 24 year old has scored ten goals and provided eight assists in the championship for Brentford this season. He joined the Bees from Ligue 1 club Nice in the summer of 2018 and has excelled for them ever since.
During his time in England, he has scored 21 goals and provided 25 assists in 79 games across all competitions.
Benrahma played in the behind closed doors friendly against Arsenal last week at the Emirates Stadium and is said to have impressed in his side’s 3-2 victory. There is a lot of buzz around the Algerian right winger’s future. It is a story worth following as it unfolds.
His Brentford side will restart their Championship campaign on June 20th against Fulham. Brentford are currently fourth in the Championship and will be aiming to get promoted to the Premier League via the playoffs.
