Thomas Partey’s agents will travel to London to meet with Arsenal representatives
|Thomas Partey’s agents will travel to London in the coming days to meet with Arsenal representatives regarding the Ghanaian’s transfer to the North London club, according to JordanM_Choco, the reporter who recently broke the news regarding Tanguy Kouassi’s move to Bayern Munich.
Arsenal will have to pay Partey’s £45 million to trigger the player’s buyout clause. The Ghanaian midfielder is said to be keen on a move to the Emirates. Atletico Madrid are believed to be working on signing Partey’s replacement. They are interested in signing his compatriot, Idrissu Baba from Mallorca. They are also said to be tracking Getafe’s Mauro Arambarri and Fulham’s Zambo Anguissa who is on loan at Villareal.
Partey signed his first contract with Atletico Madrid in 2011 and made his first team debut four years later. Since playing his first game for the Rojiblancos, he has gone on to make over 200 appearances for the club. He has been a crucial player in Simeone’s team this season and has played 39 games for the Madrid based club across all competitions.
Securing Partey’s transfer is believed to be crucial to Arteta’s plans of overhauling the squad this summer. The Arsenal head coach believes the Atletico Madrid midfielder’s £45 million fee is a bargain for a player of his calibre.
Thomas Partey will be a great addition to Arsenal squad if signed.
