Italian Champions Juventus are not interested in signing Arsenal’s talisman Pierre Emerick Aubameyang this summer according to Goal Italy’s Juventus correspondent Romeo Agresti via Juvefc.com. Agresti provided this update in an interview with Juventibus.
Recently, Le10sport had reported that Juventus had entered the race to sign the Gabon international but it seems that this is not the case at present. Agresti claims that Juventus have been keeping tabs on Gabriel Jesus and may be interested in signing the Manchester City striker.
Aubameyang has one year remaining on his contract with the Gunners and speculation is rife that he will leave the North London club for one of the European giants this summer. Barcelona and Inter Milan have been linked with a move for him so far. Arsenal are said to be working on convincing their captain to sign a new deal and extend his stay at the club.
The former Borussia Dortmund man signed for the Gunners in January 2018. He has scored 61 goals and provided 13 assists in 100 games for Arsenal. The skipper has been the standout player at the Emirates ever since he signed for the club and would be very difficult to replace.
After failing to find the net against Southampton in his team’s 2-0 victory yesterday, the striker has gone four Premier League games without scoring a goal for the first time in his Arsenal career. He will be looking to score his first goal since football’s recommencement in Arsenal’s FA Cup Quarter final tie against Sheffield United on Sunday.
