Atletico trying to include Partey in deal to sign Milik from Napoli
|Atletico Madrid are interested in including Thomas Partey in a deal to sign Arkadiusz Milik from Napoli, according to Spanish Newspaper AS.
If the Spanish giants are unable to secure the signing of Edinson Cavani, they will aim to bring the Polish striker to the Wanda Metropolitano. Despite having only one year remaining on his deal at Napoli, club president Aurelio De Laurentiis has made it clear that he will not sell Milik for less than 36 million. Atletico will struggle to come up with the required funds to sign the player and so will explore the possibility of sending Partey to Naples in order to secure a deal for the Pole.
Partey could replace Allan in the Italian club’s midfield. A deal that would see Partey move to Italy is complicated because Napoli would struggle to match the wages offered to the Ghanaian midfielder by Arsenal. The North London club is willing to triple what he currently earns in Madrid. The player has been heavily linked with Arsenal in recent months and the Gunners are best placed to sign him.
Napoli are interested in signing Victor Osimhen from Lille and this is a clear indication that they are preparing for life without Milik. Atletico will have every chance of signing the player but it looks unlikely that they will be able to include Partey in any such deal.
