Pierre Emerick Aubameyang has indicated to Arsenal that he would be willing to sign a new deal if he was offered at least a three year extension with wages of £250,000 a week, according to ESPN.
The Gabon international has one year remaining on his deal with the Gunners and there has been a lot of speculation that he will not agree a new deal at Arsenal and exit the Emirates in the summer. Inter Milan, Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain are all said to be interested in the player.
Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has consistently said that he is optimistic about Aubameyang extending his stay in North London. The player is said to be happy with life in London and has a good relationship with Arteta, his teammates and the club. On the subject of his extension, Aubameyang has said in the past that the ball is in Arsenal’s court. He has spoken about the significance of this contract and that it will be one of the most important decisions of his life as it will likely be his last big deal.
The player has discussed his desire to win trophies and this has caused a lot of people to think his future lies away from Arsenal because they do not look equipped to win titles anytime soon.
The latest reports suggest that Aubameyang has expressed a willingness to stay at Arsenal and all parties are working constructively to reach an agreement.
