Thiago interested in move to Arsenal, Liverpool & Manchester United

Thiago is interested in moving to either Arsenal, Liverpool or Manchester United this summer according to Guillem Balague

The Bayern Munich midfielder has decided to leave Germany and is believed to be destined for the Premier League. He has his heart set on moving to one of the three mentioned clubs. He has one year remaining on his deal and the Bavarian giants will not want to lose him for free next year.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, CEO of Bayern Munich, confirmed that the player intends to leave the club this summer. He had this to say about Thiago:

“A top man on and off the pitch. We negotiated with him in a serious way and fulfilled all his wishes. But it now seems that he wants to do something new for one more time. We do not want to lose any player without any money next year.”

He joined the current Bundesliga champions from Barcelona in 2013. He has scored 31 goals and provided 37 assists in 231 appearances for the club. This season, the 29 year old has scored three goals and provided two assists in 36 appearances across all competitions for the Bavarian giants.

The player has been strongly linked with Liverpool in recent days but it is understood that the newly crowned Premier League champions plan on minimal spending in the upcoming transfer market and would not consider strengthening an already robust midfield over the summer.

This leaves Arsenal and Manchester United in the race for Thiago’s signature. In all honesty, there has been close to no reports linking either club with the Spaniard but it is possible that talks are happening behind closed doors and have been kept away from the attention of the media so far.

It remains to be seen if either club will attempt to actively pursue this deal and sign the midfielder this summer. Arsenal are in need of some creativity in the middle of the mark and Thiago would more than fit the bill. It is thought that he would cost around £32 million.
