Dinos Mavropanos closing in on move to Stuttgart

Dinos Mavropanos is close to signing for Bundesliga club Stuttgart, Gooner Talk understands. 

The Greek defender has just completed a six month loan spell with 2. Bundesliga side 1. FC Nürnberg. He impressed during his time with the German club and helped maintain their status in the second division of German football. Mavropanos made twelve appearances for the club during his time in Germany. 

Both Arsenal and the 22 year old are keen on the defender going out on loan next season to gain valuable first team experience and continue his progression. Many clubs are interested in securing his signature but Stuttgart look to have won the race for the highly rated centre back and he seems all set to play in the first division of German football next season. 

Arsenal signed Mavropanos from Greek club PAS Giannina in January 2018. The player has made eight appearances for the Gunners since joining them. He was unlucky with injuries and this played a big part in his limited game time with the North London club. 

The Greek defender looks to have put a majority of his injury struggles behind him and has flourished in Germany. If he picks up where he left off next season, we can expect him to significantly increase his number of appearances at Arsenal in the not-too-distant future.
