Arsenal is currently exploring different options to keep Spaniard Dani Ceballos at the club for another season.
The 23-year-old has been in exceptional form as of late and also delivered a tremendous performance for Arsenal versus Manchester City in yesterday’s FA Cup semi-final.
According to a report in Spanish outlet El Confidencial, the Gunners have asked Real Madrid if they can extend Ceballos’ loan deal for another season. Head coach Mikel Arteta has also gone on to say that he would like the midfielder to stay in London and that he’s happy with his progress.
The report goes on to state that Real Madrid would prefer to sell players rather than loan them as a way of generating funds. If Ceballos secures another move away from Los Blancos, a fee is likely to be involved in some way.
Some speculate that the Spanish side are not ruling out the possibility of a second loan deal but would require a mandatory purchase clause at the end of it – believed to be around €20 million.
