Thomas Partey ‘will be an Arsenal player by early September at the latest’

Thomas Partey will be an Arsenal player by early September at the latest, according to TheAFCBell.

The Gunners have informed the Ghanaian midfielder and his representatives that they plan on triggering his £45 million release clause soon and that the 27 year old can expect to complete his move to the Emirates by the end of this month or the start of September at the latest.

All that is left for the North London club to do to get this deal over the line is to pay Partey’s buyout clause as they have already agreed personal terms with the Ghana international who will sign a four year contract with Arsenal if and when the move goes through.

The 27 year old is Arsenal’s primary transfer target and they are determined to bring him to North London this summer. The Gunners attempted to sign the player in a cash plus player deal and offered Atletico one of a number of their players but the Madrid based club rejected these offers. The Rojiblancos have maintained that they will only allow the player to leave if his £45 million release clause is triggered.

Atletico Madrid’s season came to an end after their 2-1 defeat to Red Bull Leipzig in the Champions League quarter finals and talks between the two clubs to complete a deal for Partey are expected to ramp up in the coming days.

Who is TheAFCBell?

Thomas Partey is Arsenal’s primary transfer target and Gooners all over the world are scouring the internet for any news they can find on the status of this transfer saga. TheAFCBell has been providing regular updates on Arsenal’s pursuit to sign the Ghanaian midfielder via Twitter and based on the news being reported by them, fans of the North London club have much reason for excitement.

Many are curious to know who TheAFCBell is and why we should assume their updates are reliable. We, at Goonertalk, did our research and as always, would like to share it with you.

TheAFCBell has been active on Twitter since August 2016. They have done exclusive interviews focussed on Arsenal Football Club with David Ornstein and Amy Lawrence among others. They shared a video of Ornstein asking fans to keep an eye out for his interview with TheAFCBell on their alternate Twitter account.

They were one of the early sources to report that Ivan Gazidis was going to leave Arsenal and move to AC Milan in 2018. In the summer of 2017, amid strong rumours that Alexis Sanchez was all set to leave Arsenal, news emerged that the Chilean had travelled to Paris with his agent.

Many speculated that he travelled to the French capital to discuss a potential move with Paris Saint Germain. TheAFCBell was one of the first to report that the current Inter Milan player had actually gone to Paris to sort out a work permit related issue.

They have shared Arsenal news with fans for a long time now and while nobody can guarantee their accuracy on the Thomas Partey transfer saga, TheAFCBell has been reliable for the most part. It must be noted, however, that they have probably never gone against the grain as much as they currently are on the Partey story. Gooners all over the world hope that they are absolutely correct and that the Ghanaian midfielder signs for Arsenal soon!
