Arsenal to play Fulham on opening day of the season

Arsenal will play their first Premier League game of the 2020/21 season against Fulham at Craven Cottage on September 12th.

The Gunners will welcome West Ham to the Emirates the following week for their first home game of the new campaign. Arsenal have an especially challenging run of fixtures in the first two months of the new season that will see them travel to Anfield, the Etihad and Old Trafford. They will also host Leicester and Sheffield United during this period.

The first North London derby will take place at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium on December 5th.

The last time Arsenal travelled to Craven Cottage, they beat Fulham 5-1. Aaron Ramsey scored a fantastic team goal that was among the best goals scored in the 2018/19 Premier League season.

Fulham won the playoff final against Brentford to return to the Premier League just one season after suffering relegation. Scott Parker’s first full season as Fulham boss has been a memorable one and Arsenal should expect a tough opening game against their London rivals.

The North London club finished eighth in the 2019/20 Premier League season and will hope to start the new campaign well and push for a place in the top four to secure Champions League football for the following season.
