Partey reportedly willing to move to Arsenal, likelihood of a transfer materialising is 45%

Thomas Partey is willing to move to Arsenal this summer but there is only a 40-45% chance that the Gunners will get a deal for the player over the line, according to Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail in an interview with Touchline Fracas.
The Ghanaian midfielder is Arsenal’s primary transfer target this summer and the player has indicated that he is open to a move to North London. Personal terms are not expected to be an issue but the Gunners will find it challenging to trigger his £45 million release clause.

The North London club offered Atletico Madrid cash plus one of their players for the Ghana international but the Spanish side rejected this proposal. Matteo Guendouzi was one of the players included in such a deal. The Rojiblancos have made it clear that they will only allow Partey to leave the club if his buyout clause is paid in full.

Arsenal have committed a significant amount of money to sign Willian on a three year contract and are closing in on the signing of Gabriel Magalhaes from Lille for £27 million. It remains to be seen if they will be able to pay Partey’s release clause in a summer where finances are limited due to the economic climate caused by the pandemic. What is clear is that the player is open to moving to Arsenal and the Gunners will do everything possible to get a deal over the line this summer.
