Hector Bellerin reportedly offered to PSG

Hector Bellerin has reportedly been offered to Paris Saint Germain, according to French media outlet RMC Sport.

The French champions are keen on signing a right back this summer and the Arsenal player is likely to leave the club, according to reports. There are very few players in that position that PSG are interested in signing but Bellerin is a high profile player and could be considered by the Paris based club.

The Spaniard has spent a significant part of the last two years on the sidelines due to injury problems. He made 23 appearances for the Gunners in the 2019/20 season, scoring one goal and providing two assists.

Bellerin joined Arsenal from La Masia, Barcelona’s famed academy, in 2011. He has made 204 appearances for the North London club, scoring eight goals and providing 25 assists. He is the vice captain of Arsenal football club and is considered an influential member of the dressing room.

His form has been erratic since his return from injury but it must be noted that he was out of action for a long time as he was recovering from a cruciate ligament injury. He put in a few positive performances towards the end of the season and was part of the Arsenal team that won the FA Cup for a record fourteenth time. Bellerin has three years remaining on his contract with the Gunners.

Arsenal are aware of their need to sell players in order to raise funds for incoming signings. Ainsley Maitland Niles is believed to be close to a move to Wolves and if Bellerin were also to leave, the club would only have one recognised right back at the senior level in Cedric Soares.
