PSG interested in Guendouzi

Paris Saint Germain are considering a move for Matteo Guendouzi this summer, according to L’Equipe via Get French Football News.

The runners up of the Champions League are looking to sign a midfielder this summer. Their number one target is Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio but it looks like his price will prevent the French champions from signing him. They are turning their attention towards AC Milan’s Ismael Bennacer, a former Arsenal man, and Matteo Guendouzi, both of whom they consider to be affordable.

Arsenal are keen on offloading the former Lorient midfielder this summer. The player is also believed to be looking for a move to another club as it is abundantly clear that he is not a part of head coach Mikel Arteta’s plans. The Gunners are open to receiving cash offers for the 21 year old but would also be interested in including him in a swap deal for a player that they are interested in signing.

The North London club are said to have made an offer of Guendouzi plus cash for Houssem Aouar from Lyon. Arsenal’s technical director, Edu Gaspar, is scheduled to hold further talks with his counterpart at Lyon, Juninho.

Lyon expect to sell their prized asset this summer and have set an asking price of £54 million for the player’s signature. Arsenal and Manchester City are believed to be the clubs to have shown the most interest in the 22 year old so far. PSG and Juventus are also considering a move for Aouar.
