Arsenal’s medical team has provided an update on injuries ahead of the new season.

Callum Chambers is working hard with Arsenal’s rehabilitation and medical teams. He will continue running outside and do some light ball work in the coming weeks. The player is aiming to rejoin full training at the earliest possible date in 2020.

Bernd Leno has fully recovered from his injury and is available for selection. He starts today’s friendly against MK Dons.

Pablo Mari is making great progress and has started running inside. He is also doing work in the gym and in the pool. The 26 year old is expected to return to full training in September.

Gabriel Martinelli is currently in Brazil spending time with his family. He is following a tailored daily rehabilitation and fitness programme. The 19 year old is scheduled to return to England on August 31st after which he will step up his rehabilitation. He is aiming to rejoin full training by the end of the year.

Shkodran Mustafi is now off crutches with good mobility. He has returned to England after a short break with his family and is working hard with Arsenal’s medical team at London Colney. In the near future, he will start indoor work in the pool and at the gym. He will soon start running on the treadmill. The German central defender is aiming to return to full training in October.
