Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr willing to pay Ozil annual salary of £15 million

Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr are interested in signing Mesut Ozil and have offered to pay him an annual salary of £15 million were he to join the club this summer, according to Turkish media outlet Fanatik

The Saudi professional league is in its closing stages and will end on September 9th. Officials from Al Nassr would like to sign Ozil at the earliest. They hope to have him at the club before the start of next season but if they fail to find an agreement, they will look to sign him next year.

Mesut Ozil has made it clear that he plans to see out the remaining year of his contract with Arsenal. The Gunners are keen on offloading the German playmaker this summer but due to his high wages and a lack of interest in the number 10 from other clubs, it has been assumed that he would remain an Arsenal player until next summer. The 31 year old earns £350,000 a week in North London.

It remains to be seen if this lucrative offer from Al Nassr changes Ozil’s mind about his future. The Saudi Arabian club have reportedly told him that they want to treat him like the new prince of Saudi Arabia and will not spare any sacrifices to make that happen.

The former Real Madrid playmaker has attracted interest from Fenerbahce, his boyhood club. He has also received offers from clubs in Qatar and the MLS.
