Arsenal interested in Rennes striker Georginio Rutter

Arsenal are among a host of clubs who are interested in signing Rennes striker Georginio Rutter, according to L’Equipe via Get French Football News.

The 18 year old is a Rennes academy graduate and is yet to make his first team debut for the club. He has represented France at the Under 18 level and is very highly rated. The player has only one year remaining on his current deal with the French club and is reportedly keen on playing first team football.

Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Red Bull Leipzig, Newcastle and AC Milan are also believed to be interested in signing the Frenchman. Rutter is expected to have talks with Rennes in the coming weeks to find out what his role in the team will be in the 2020/21 campaign. It is thought that while he is not expecting to play every single game for the French club, he most certainly wants to get a fair share of opportunities in the senior team.

It is unlikely that he will be a regular starter in the Arsenal first team in the upcoming season but with his future in France looking uncertain, the Gunners have made an enquiry about the player’s availability.
