Boubakary Soumare was left out of the Lille squad for their game against Strasbourg which they won 3-0 as he could be set to depart the club before the end of the transfer window, according to Get French Football News.
The 21 year old has been linked to Arsenal in the past and has been offered to the North London club this summer, according to Get French Football News.
Lille accepted an offer for Soumare from Newcastle in the January transfer window but the player decided against the move. He has not been a regular starter for the French side ever since and that trend looks to be continuing in the current season.
Soumare is a powerful central midfielder and has attracted interest from a host of clubs in the past. He is a Paris Saint Germain academy graduate who departed the club in the summer of 2017. Juventus were reportedly very interested in signing him but he opted to join Lille. He has flourished at the French club and is considered one of the most exciting young midfielders in Europe.
Inter Milan and Napoli are believed to be interested in signing Soumare ahead of the transfer deadline. It is unclear if Arsenal are in the race for the player but having been linked with him earlier in the window, movements around the Frenchman are worth keeping an eye on.
