Arsenal have signed exciting teenage prospect Joel Idelho from Ajax.
The 17 year old winger will join the Professional Development Phase this season and is expected to link up with Steve Bould’s Under-23 side at some point.
He is best known for his pace and accuracy. He joined Ajax earlier this year from Dutch side Willem II but has now joined the Gunners. Developed by the Tilburg academy at Willem II, he is capable of playing on both flanks but prefers to be deployed on the right. Steve Bould’s team have lacked a right winger so far this season and they will hope Idelho can slot right in. He is also eligible to play for the Under-18 side.

In other news, Marcelo Flores has signed his first professional contract with Arsenal. The 17 year old joined Arsenal as a scholar from Ipswich in July 2019. The versatile attacker is known for his agility, pace and creativity.
He is a British passport holder and was born in Canada. He has represented Mexico at the youth level. He has been a regular in the Arsenal Under-18 side since last season. He scored a brace in the 3-2 win over Crystal Palace last weekend.
