Arsenal will return to action on Thursday evening when they take on Dundalk at the Emirates Stadium in the Europa League.
The Gunners won their opening Group B game against Rapid Vienna 1-0 away from home in Austria last week.
Although the North London outfit went down 1-0 to Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League at the weekend, they will be confident of getting the better of Dundalk at home on Thursday and enhance their chances of winning the group.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is facing a problem in defence, though. The Spaniard has told Football.London that David Luiz is not fit, while Sokratis Papastathopoulos and William Saliba were not registered for the Europa League.
Arteta could field a back-three against Dundalk. This means that Shkodran Mustafi, summer signing Gabriel Magalhaes and left-back Sead Kolasinac are likely to be deployed in front of goalkeeper Bernd Leno.
Cedric Soares is likely to be the right wing-back, while Ainsley Maitland-Niles could start on the left. The former played 61 minutes against Rapid Vienna last week, according to WhoScored.
Mohamed Elneny has been playing well for Arsenal this season, and the 28-year-old defensive midfielder is likely to start again for the Gunners. The Egypt international has played thrice in the Premier League and once in the Europa League so far this campaign, according to WhoScored.
It will be interesting to see who partners Elneny in midfield. Joe Willock could get the nod. The 21-year-old is a promising young player, and Arteta could give him valuable playing time against Dundalk, given that the Gunners are likely to find it easy against the League of Ireland Premier Division club.
Eddie Nketiah is likely to start in attack and lead the line. The former Leeds United loanee was in action against Vienna last week, and Arteta would want him to get regular playing time in the Europa League for his development and progress. Reiss Nelson and Nicolas Pepe could be the two wingers.
This is how Arsenal are likely to line up against Dundalk on Thursday evening:
Predicted Arsenal XI: Bernd Leno; Shkodran Mustafi, Gabriel, Sean Kolasinac; Cedric Soares, Mohamed Elneny, Joe Willock, Ainsley Maitland-Niles; Nicolas Pepe, Eddie Nketiah, Reiss Nelson
