Alan Smith urges Arteta to fix Arsenal’s attack
|Former Arsenal player Alan Smith has urged Mikel Arteta to sort out his team’s attacking problems in the coming weeks.
The Gunners have improved a lot defensively since the Spaniard’s arrival but the goals seem to have dried up this season.
The likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are struggling to find the net as well and Smith reckons that the London club will have to fix their attacking issues soon if they want to secure Champions League qualification this season.
The likes of Tottenham and Manchester United have been doing better in attack an Arsenal will have to bridge that gap soon. Even Chelsea have top-class attackers at their disposal.
All of Arsenal’s top four rivals have tremendous attacking depth and the Gunners will have to find a way to compete with them with the options they have at their disposal.
It will be interesting to see how Arteta fixes his team’s attacking issues over the coming weeks. It is still unclear whether the problem is mental or tactical.
Arsenal have played free-flowing football under Arteta at times but they need to find that consistency and deliver on a weekly basis.
