Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil was recently left out of the club’s Premier League squad and the European squad.
With his contract expiring in the summer, it is fair to assume that Ozil has played his last game for the club.
The player’s agent recently criticised manager Mikel Arteta for the lack of honesty but the Arsenal manager has now claimed that he has given Ozil as many chances as he could have to prove his worth.
It is evident that the German is no longer the player he used to be and he has regressed massively.
It seems that Arteta’s reasoning behind Ozil’s exclusion was his dip in form. However, the midfielder was adamant earlier this month that his comments towards China’s mistreatment of Uighur Muslims has cost him his place in the Arsenal squad.
According to him, the reasons were commercial and he is disappointed with Arsenal’s decision.
Ozil should look to leave the Premier League club when the window re-opens in January. He cannot afford to miss out on football for a whole season and he should look to play regularly by securing a move away.
