Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang opens up on the lack of goals this season

Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has struggled to hit top form so far this season.

However, the 31-year-old has claimed that he is not worried about the lack of goals and this is just a passing phase.

“We are not finding scoring goals easy at the moment,” he said to Standard. “This happens in teams — I haven’t scored for a few games in the league, either.

“But we’re an experienced team, with experienced attacking players and we know we will turn this around. I’m not worried about that.”

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been in outstanding form ever since he moved to Arsenal and his lack of goals this season has been a surprise.

It will be interesting to see if the Gabon international can regain his form and sharpness in the coming weeks.

Arsenal have struggled to create too many chances as a team so far this season and that has certainly had an effect on their goal scoring.

The Arsenal striker has now gone 5 League matches without a goal for the first time since November 2014.

The London club will need their top players in good form in order to break into the top four this season and Arteta will have to get his key striker firing soon.

It will be interesting to see if Arsenal decide to take a more adventurous tactical approach in the coming weeks in order to get the best out of their attackers.
