Mikel Arteta was very impressed with summer signing Thomas Partey’s performance against Manchester United last night.
The 27-year-old midfielder was in imperious form and the likes of Fred, McTominay and Pogba struggled to deal with him.
The former Atletico Madrid midfielder has looked quite good since his arrival in the Premier League and he is only going to get better with experience.
Arsenal spent big money on him and they will be delighted with the return so far.
The technically gifted midfielder dominated the midfield throughout the game and he helped Arsenal break up the opposition play and create counterattacking opportunities.
Arteta said to Football London: “He was really good. I’m glad that whoever I pick is giving absolutely everything and they play with a lot of courage.”
It seems that former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane was very impressed with the Arsenal midfielder as well.
The Sky Sports pundit claimed that Thomas Partey certainly has the chance of being Arsenal’s successor to Patrick Vieira.
The 27-year-old midfielder will be delighted with the praise from former Premier League stars and his manager and he will be hoping to build on his impressive start to life at Arsenal.
