Arsenal looking to extend Mohamed Elneny’s contract
|Arsenal are looking to discuss a contract extension with midfielder Mohamed Elneny.
The 28 year old has completely turned around his form and he has established himself as a key player for Mikel Arteta this season.
Elneny’s contract expires at the end of next season but Arsenal are hoping to reward him for his excellent start to the season as per Daily Mail.
It will be interesting to see if the two parties can come to an agreement in the coming months.
Elneny has proven himself to be a very useful player and it is hardly surprising that Arsenal are willing to keep him at the club for the long run.
The Egyptian has formed a very good partnership with summer signing Thomas Partey at the heart of Arsenal’s midfield and he will be hoping to build on the impressive start to the season and help the Gunners climb up the Premier League table in the coming months.
The 28 year old is at the peak of his career right now and Arsenal should do everything in their power to hold on to him beyond next season.
Initially, it seemed like Elneny’s career at the club is over and he would leave sooner rather than later. But his transformation will have come as a pleasant surprise to the fans and Arteta.
It will be interesting to see if he can continue to perform at this level in the coming months now.
