Arsenal are interested in signing the 21-year-old defender Ibrahima Konate.
The RB Leipzig defender is highly rated across Europe and he has a big future ahead of him. If Arsenal manage to sign him it could prove to be a superb long term investment for them.
The Gunners have already signed talented young defenders like Gabriel and Saliba. Konate would add more defensive quality and depth to the side.
Apparently, the defender has a release clause of €50 million and Arsenal are interested in signing him as per SportBild.
It will be interesting to see if the Gunners make their move for the 21-year-old when the transfer window reopens in January.
The German club are unlikely to let go of their prized prospect midway through the season and therefore Arsenal might have to wait until the summer to sign the youngster.
However, if they choose to pay his release clause the German club will be powerless to stop Konate from moving to Arsenal.
Konate has the potential to develop into a top class defender justify his release clause in the coming years. It remains to be seen whether Arsenal are prepared to pay that much for an unproven talent right now.
