Aubameyang hits back at Kroos after German midfielder criticises his celebrations after scoring

Pierre Emerick Aubameyang has hit back at Toni Kroos after the German midfielder criticised the Arsenal skipper’s celebrations with masks after scoring goals. The Gabon international questioned whether the Real Madrid midfielder had children and reminded him that the reason for his celebrations involving a mask on a few occasions was to make his son happy. 

Kroos said that he felt Aubameyang’s celebrations were a sign that he was not a good role model, according to SPORTbible. The Arsenal captain tried to confirm that these quotes really were made by the Germany international before responding to his comments. 

Arsenal’s talisman has sported Black Panther, Spiderman and Deadpool masks during his playing career after scoring a goal. Since signing for the Gunners in January 2018, the former Borussia Dortmund striker has scored 74 goals and provided 16 assists in 119 games. He won the Golden Boot in his first full season at the Emirates and missed out on winning it for a second time in a row by one goal last season. 

Aubameyang is known to be a strong figure in the dressing room who helps younger players like Bukayo Saka settle into the first team. Gabriel Martinelli even mentioned how comfortable the Gabonese hitman made him feel when he first joined the club.
