Gabriel voted Arsenal’s player of the month for the second time in a row

Gabriel has been voted Arsenal’s best player of the month for the second time in a row. He received 79% of the votes for the month of October. Hector Bellerin and Bukayo Saka finished in second and third place respectively.

October was a challenging month for the Gunners. They suffered defeats to Manchester City and Leicester but the Brazilian defender performed admirably throughout the month including in the club’s two losses. He has been one of Arsenal’s best players since the start of the season without a doubt and seems like a player that was born to play in the Premier League.

Arsenal signed Gabriel from Lille for £27 million in the summer transfer window and since his arrival, he has cemented his place in the first team. In October, he played four games and had a duel success rate of 71.4%. He made nine clearances and seven interceptions. He made 377 passes and had a passing accuracy of 86.1%.

The 22 year old impressed in Arsenal’s win over Sheffield United at the start of the month as well as the North London side’s victory over Rapid Vienna in the Europa League. The decision to bring him to the Emirates looks like a shrewd piece of business.
