Arsenal could buy Szoboszlai in January and loan him back to RB Salzburg

Arsenal could buy Dominik Szoboszlai in the January transfer window and loan him back to Red Bull Salzburg for the rest of the season, according to Football Insider.

The Gunners are interested in signing the Hungarian midfielder and have kept tabs on him for a significant period of time. They are said to have close ties to his camp but face competition for his signature from a host of clubs including Red Bull Leipzig and Tottenham Hotspur.

RB Leipzig are believed to be willing to buy the player in January and loan him back to RB Salzburg for the remainder of the season in a bid to move ahead of the competition. Arsenal could be forced to offer a similar deal to the Austrian club in order to win the race to sign the 20 year old.

Szoboszlai has been in outstanding form for RB Salzburg this season. He has scored five goals and provided nine assists in 15 appearances across all competitions in the current campaign. The Gunners are struggling to create goal scoring chances and find the back of the net. The Hungarian midfielder could help solve this problem. It is understood that he would cost in the region of £22.3 million.
