Pablo Mari completed 45 minutes for Arsenal’s Under-23 side against Derby County on Friday night and Gabriel Martinelli aims to play for Steve Bould’s side before the end of December.
The former Flamengo central defender is yet to play for the Gunners in the 2020/21 season. He suffered an ankle injury against Manchester City in June that has kept him out of action for the last five months. He is participating in full training sessions as he looks to develop match fitness.
Martinelli suffered a knee injury in training on June 21st that has kept him out of action ever since. The Brazilian attacker is now integrating into squad sessions and is not far away from being fit enough to be involved in first team football. He is likely to be back in the side in early 2021 at the latest. The North London side will be keen to welcome the 19 year old back into the fold as they are currently struggling to find the back of the net.
Sead Kolasinac, who has been out of action since the international break as a result of testing positive for the coronavirus, has returned a negative test and is available for the club’s Europa League game against Rapid Vienna on Thursday.
