Gabriel voted Arsenal’s player of the month for the third time in a row

Gabriel has been voted Arsenal’s player of the month for the month of November. This is the third time in a row that he has won this award after coming out on top in both September as well as October.

The Brazilian central defender has been the North London club’s standout player this season. He put in an impeccable performance in the Gunners’ 1-0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford at the start of November. He was rock solid in his side’s 0-0 draw against Leeds United at Elland Road.

The 22 year old played in his side’s defeats in the Premier League against Aston Villa and Wolves but put in good individual performances in both games and even scored in the game against Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

Arsenal signed Gabriel from Lille in the summer for £27 million and this transfer is proving to be one of the best deals of the window. He is dominant in the tackle, good in the air and positionally astute. It is still early days in his Arsenal career but he looks tailor-made for the Premier League.

The former Lille centre back received 76% of the votes for the player of the month award. Joe Willock finished second while Bukayo Saka placed third.
