Mesut Ozil’s agent has reiterated the fact that the German playmaker will see out his contract at Arsenal, according to Turkish media outlet Fanatik via Eurosport.
The former Real Madrid man was left out of the North London club’s Premier League and Europa League squads. As a result, he has not made a single appearance for the Gunners this season. It is a clear indication of the fact that he is likely to have played his last game for Arsenal. Arteta can, however, add him to the squad list in February if he were to have a change of heart.
The Gunners are struggling to create goalscoring chances and have scored just 11 goals in 13 Premier League games this season. Many have criticised Arteta for freezing Ozil out from the first team as he is the only established playmaker currently on the books in North London.

Ozil’s agent, Dr. Erkul Sogut, has said that Arsenal’s number 10 hopes to reclaim his place in the Arsenal first team and play for the club again before his contract ends. He has also revealed that Ozil’s camp has held talks with Fenerbahce who have a long standing interest in the player. They will be able to discuss a transfer in January at which point the 32-year-old will have only six months remaining on his contract with the Gunners.
Regarding Ozil’s situation at Arsenal, his agent said:
“Mesut has another six months on his contract with Arsenal. He’s certainly missed football. Right now he’s working very hard to be able to wear the Arsenal shirt again and he’ll continue working.”
On talks with Fenerbahce, he said:
“We want to explain our situation with Fenerbahce. Yes, we’ve spoken with Fenerbahce. We’ve spoken one on one with the most important people at the club.”
“However, we cannot speak about a transfer officially before January. We’ve had transfer offers from all over the world for Mesut.”
“Nothing has changed for Mesut now. At the moment, it seems Mesut will finish the season at Arsenal.”
