Reported Arsenal target Bailey joins English agency USM and boosts chances of moving to England

Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey has joined English agency Unique Sports Management which has boosted the chances of an English club signing him, according to the Daily Mail.

Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham and Everton have all reportedly been keeping tabs on the Jamaican winger this season. Chelsea and Manchester City are understood to have been interested in securing his services in the past while Leeds United had a bid for the player rejected last summer.

USM represents a number of Premier League players including Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Chelsea’s Reece James, West Ham’s Michail Antonio and Newcastle United’s Callum Wilson. They are well connected in English football and the fact that Bailey is now represented by them will give Premier League sides a better chance of bringing him to the best league in the world.

Bailey has been in outstanding form for Leverkusen this season which has seen him score nine goals and provide seven assists in 18 appearances across all competitions. He has been an important part of the team and has led them to second place in the Bundesliga. Since signing for the German side from Genk in 2017, the 23-year-old has scored 33 goals and provided 22 assists in 134 appearances.

Mike Appiason of USM has said that while he expects Bailey to have a number of takers due to his outstanding form, he is focussed on helping Leverkusen finish the season as strongly as possible. He has two and a half years remaining on his contract with the German side.
