Paris Saint-Germain’s Julian Draxler is behind Borussia Dortmund’s Julian Brandt on Arsenal’s list of transfer targets, according to Christian Falk of German media outlet Bild.
The Gunners are keen on signing a creative midfielder in the January transfer window and have come up with a list of targets. They have been linked with Norwich City’s Emiliano Buendia, Inter Milan’s Christian Eriksen, Real Madrid’s Isco and now these two German creative midfielders.

Draxler has just six months remaining on his contract with PSG and will be a free agent in the summer. It is being reported that the 27-year-old is not in new head coach Mauricio Pochettino’s plans and could leave the club this month.
The player has scored two goals and provided one assist in 10 appearances this season. Arsenal have been linked with Draxler for a number of years and are considering reigniting their interest in the player in this transfer window.

Brandt has struggled for regular game time at Dortmund this season and has not been able to reproduce the form he showed for the German side last season. In the 2019/20 campaign, he scored seven goals and provided thirteen assists in 42 appearances across all competitions. This season, he has scored just one goal and provided one assist in 22 appearances across all competitions.
The Gunners are in the process of moving on a number of their fringe players and once this is complete, they will look to strengthen their team.
