Arsenal defender Gabriel has declared that Manchester City are dangerous from the kitman to the centre forward, according to the Daily Mail.
The Gunners take on Pep Guardiola’s side in the Premier League at the Emirates this Sunday. The Citizens are in amazing form and have won their last 12 games in the league. They are ten points clear at the top of the table and have a game in hand on a majority of their rivals.
It seems to be a foregone conclusion that City will win the league this season and considering the ruthless run they are currently on, Gooners will be wary of their side’s chances against the Premier League leaders this weekend.
Arteta’s side lost the reverse fixture 1-0 in October 2020 courtesy of a Raheem Sterling goal. The Gunners have had a topsy turvy Premier League campaign which has seen them mentioned in the relegation scrap as well as the fight for European football next season at different points in the season.
They beat Leeds United 4-2 at the Emirates last weekend in what was an impressive performance. The North London side drew 1-1 to Benfica in the first leg of their Europa League Round of 32 clash and will want to return to winning ways but will know it won’t be easy to do so against a rampant Manchester City.
Speaking about City, Gabriel said:
“They are dangerous from the kit man to the centre forward.”
The centre forward is likely to be Gabriel Jesus who, like Gabriel, is also from Brazil. On Jesus, he said:
“If we both play, I will do my best to stop him.”
On Arsenal’s chances against City, Gabriel said:
“We are building a strategy to face them. We have a great balance and are able to face any team.”
