Bukayo Saka will be staying at Arsenal and the club have received no approach any team for the Englishman, Gooner Talk understands.
The 20-year-old has been a regular starter for the club and country. His skills have been doing the talking for himself. He bagged the Player of the Season award last term and has been noticed by potential buyers.
“It took me a while to figure him out,” Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta Sky Sports. “That’s why I tried to play him in different positions, to see how he reacted.
“I wanted to test his character as well because he was playing as a left-back and I know it wasn’t his ideal position but he had to go through that period.”
Asked what makes Saka so unique, Arteta responded: “Intelligence. We talk about physicality, we talk about spirit, we talk about technique. But the brain is the one that makes all the decisions.
“‘B’ makes a lot of good decisions because he is such an intelligent player who can read situations. And after that, of course, he has the ability to execute them the right way and that’s obviously a big quality.”
The Premier League club has a rich history of honing young players and turning them into club legends. If Saka gets to stay at the Emirates Stadium for many years to come, he will get a chance to cement his legacy as a Gunner and may get to wear the captain’s armband one day as well.
Neither Mikel Arteta nor any member of the team’s management has hinted at letting the young winger venture elsewhere in near future.
