Arsenal legend Kevin Campbell feels that Arsenal should sell Germany’s Bernd Leno soon before his market value decrease. The player has put up series of poor performances ever since Mikel Arteta brought him to the Emirates Stadium.

The goalkeeper has been scrutinised for inconstent displays. Arteta has now replaced him with newly-signed GK Aaron Ramsdale. Cambell doesn’t want the Arsenal management to use Leno for warming the bench and he has good reasoning behind it.

“Take what you can. If Leno is not going to sign a new deal, the one thing you don’t do is diminish his price by not playing him at all this season. You have to be a little bit cuter,”the ex-Arsenal player said.

“Let’s be honest though, Ramsdale has been brought in to be number one. You do not spend that kind of money on a second choice goalkeeper.”

Ramsdale, who has been signed for £30million this summer, was s surprise starter inn Arsenal’s home game against Norwich. The debutant kept a clean sheet on his first appearance at the Emiates Stadium.

He is likely to feature as a starter for Arteta for the rest of the season. In case, Leno is sold by the end of the season, the club can use that money to sign Andre Onana from Ajax next summer.
