Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe feels that he will get to play for the senior England side soon, The Gunners star has been in fine form this season.
England manager Gareth Southgate recently revealed that he had almost called up Rowe for the international break. Rowe is glad to hear this news and eager to put the pedal to the medal to get the call up soon.
The 21-year-old single-handedly won the England Under-21 side a match against Andorra this week, scoring the only goal of the fixture. After bagging the Man of the Match award, he spoke about Southgate’s remarks on him.
“I feel really grateful that he’s speaking about me like that in such a positive way, but I’ve got to keep working hard, keep my head down and I know the opportunity will come,” the Gunner said. “I’ve just got to make sure I’m ready for it.“It is always an honour to represent my country at whatever level it is. The seniors have a really strong team at the moment so I always know it is going to be difficult.”
The Arsenal academy graduate has risen to fame in a brief period at the Emirates Stadium, thanks to his consistent displays.
