Arsenal to submit new offer for Youri Tielemans

Arsenal are prepared to table a fresh offer to Leicester City for the services of Youri Tielemans, according to transfer guru Sacha Tavolieri via Twitter.

Per the report, Tielemans is believed to be the prime target for Arsenal in midfield but they are also exploring moves for Sandro Tonali and Moises Caicedo from AC Milan and Brighton respectively.

Mikel Arteta’s men have been quite busy in the transfer market so far but it seems their business is far from over with 11 days still left before the window shuts on September 1.

Tielemans has been linked with moves to both Arsenal and Manchester United this summer and the Belgian could now end up in north London where he reportedly favours a move to.

Arsenal are the only team still yet to drop a single point after the first three Premier League matchdays and that highlights their fine start to the new season.

More impressively, The Gunners have been solid at both ends with nine goals scored across the three games while only two have been let in at the other end – one of which was an unfortunate own goal by William Saliba who has otherwise made a fine start to his first-team career at the Emirates Stadium.

Frankly speaking, it is hard to identify any major weakness in Mikel Arteta’s current squad but one thing Arsenal could do with right now is a creative figure in the middle of the park.

Club captain Martin Odegaard and the fit-again Fabio Vieira are both adept at laying on chances for teammates but neither of them can combine that creativity with the ability to dictate tempo from deep as well as Tielemans.

Arteta has largely favoured the Granit Xhaka-Thomas Partey partnership in his time at the helm of affairs so far but the introduction of Tielemans would be a highly-welcome boost for the Spanish tactician.
