Mykhaylo Mudryk opens up on his desire to play for Arsenal

Mykhaylo Mudryk has handed Arsenal a boost ahead of the January transfer window by claiming that an offer from the Gunners would be too good to say no to.

Arsenal were believed to have made contact with Mudryk’s entourage during the summer window but no formal offer was made for the Ukranian’s services.

Following the departure of Nicolas Pepe on a season-long loan deal to Ligue 1 outfit OGC Nice, Mikel Arteta’s men were linked to a couple of wingers in the final knockings of the transfer window although they failed to get a deal over the line for any of their targets.

Should Arsenal continue their pursuit of a winger going forward, Mudryk could be the most probable target having expressed his desire the join the North Londoners.

“There was a lot of discussion about clubs who want me but it is normal…in the winter we will see,” Mudryk told CBS Sports’ Ben Jacobs earlier today.

“My dream is to play in Premier League, of course.

“Arsenal is a very good team, very good manager – so from my side, I can’t say no to Arsenal.

However, Mudryk did end the update regarding his future by stating that any potential move to the Emirates Stadium is not solely dependent on him.

“But a transfer is not just up to my decision,”  he added.

Mudryk received his marching orders in his last league outing for Shakhtar Donetsk although he did put on a show in Tuesday’s Champions League meeting against RB Leipzig, supplying one goal and two assists as his side ran out 4-1 winners at the Red Bull Arena.

Even at the tender age of 21 years old, Mudryk’s quality is evident for all to see and a big move now looks to be on the cards for him sooner rather than later.
