Predicted Arsenal line-up vs Brentford, Zinchenko out

Arsenal are scheduled to face Brentford on the road in tomorrow’s early Premier League kick-off.

The Gunners have had sufficient time to prepare for the London derby, having had the previous two matches against Everton and PSV Eindhoven postponed.

Mikel Arteta will be hoping for a strong performance against the Bees as the Gunners look to maintain their slender one-point lead at the top of the standings.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Predicted Line-up:

Aaron Ramsdale has played every minute of the club’s opening six league games. He was given a breather for the Europa League opener, but is expected to return in goal.

The defence will see multiple changes from the 2-1 win over FC Zurich. Takehiro Tomiyasu should make way for Ben White at right-back. Arteta has confirmed that White has not suffered any injury.

At the heart of the backline, William Saliba looks set to come in for Rob Holding. He should be accompanied once again by Gabriel Magalhaes. The duo have formed a solid central defensive partnership.

Kieran Tierney is expected to continue at left-back ahead of league regular Oleksandr Zinchenko. The Ukraine Football Federation have confirmed that he is out for two weeks with a calf muscle injury.

In midfield, Granit Xhaka should be partnered by Albert Sambi Lokonga. Thomas Partey has returned to training, but it could be a big risk starting him, having just overcome another thigh injury.

Further forward, Martin Odegaard should replace Fabio Vieira in the number 10 role. Marquinhos had an excellent debut with a goal and an assist against Zurich, but Bukayo Saka will start on the right wing.

With Emile Smith Rowe still doubtful with a groin issue, Gabriel Martinelli is pretty much an undisputed starter on the left wing. Gabriel Jesus is expected to lead the line ahead of Eddie Nketiah.

Nketiah was impressive in his first start of the campaign with a goal and an assist against Zurich, but Jesus is quite clearly the first-choice marksman when it comes to the Premier League matches.
