Predicted Arsenal line-up vs Liverpool, Jesus & Saka start
|Arsenal have the chance to return to the top of the Premier League standings when they entertain Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium this afternoon.
The Gunners have been simply brilliant during the early months of the campaign and they have dropped just three points from eight league games.
They are currently two points behind leaders Manchester City, but have the chance to climb back to the top of the summit with a victory over the Reds.
Mikel Arteta is set to make multiple changes, having kept most regulars on the bench for the midweek 3-0 Europa League triumph over Bodo/Glimt.
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Predicted Line-up:
Aaron Ramsdale has played every minute of the Premier League season while being rested in the European games. He is expected to return in goal, having seen Matt Turner keep a clean sheet at the Emirates Stadium in midweek which he has not done so far this campaign.
Ben White is expected to replace Takehiro Tomiyasu at right-back while William Saliba is set to partner Gabriel Magalhaes at the heart of the defence. Rob Holding should make way as usual. Left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko has not been seen in recent training pictures before the game.
However, there was a similar incident against Manchester United only for him to make the XI. The Gunners are obviously careful with him after his calf injury but in our opinion, Tierney should get the nod over him unless he is fully fit. The former has kept Mohamed Salah quiet in the past.
In midfield, Arteta has a simple choice of playing Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka together. Partey needs to be handled with caution and there were no surprises that he was on the bench against Bodo.
He will be key to winning duels in the centre of the park while Xhaka pushes forward. The Swiss has been a revelation this term with two goals and three assists playing in a more attacking role.
In attack, it should be the usual suspects. Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Martinelli are guaranteed starters alongside Gabriel Jesus, who has five goals and three assists in 12 games against Liverpool.

I agree….. It’s actually better for Tierney to play ahead of an unfit Zinchenko.
Tierney is the more defensive, more physical and more blessed with ferocious pace. He has quickly upped his technical abilities and also learnt the tactical knowledge that’s almost making Zinchenko edge him out of Arteta’s first 11. Against top teams, Tierney should play ahead of Zinchenko.
Going forward though, our best back four is:
LB Tierney LCB Saliba RCB White RB Tomi.
